The Cuba Academic Alliance is a group of academics
working together to protect the rights of U.S. students and instructors to
study and research in Cuba. Our goal is simple: to reverse the 2004 restrictions on academic exchanges in Cuba that
have shut down most programming and educational
travel to Cuba.
MISSION STATEMENT
Recognizing the unique opportunity to re-establish relations with Cuba through academic exchange, a select group of international educators formed the Cuba Academic Alliance to actively promote venues of cooperation, dialogue and understanding between institutions of higher learning in the United States and Cuba. Furthermore, in light of a possible change in U.S. policy toward that country, the Cuba Academic Alliance will advocate for an annulment of policies that are detrimental to furthering understanding between the two countries through academic exchanges. |
